Biography

Savona Bailey-McClain

Savona Bailey-McClain, is a New York based curator, art producer and preservation advocate. She works with installation, photography, drawing, performance, sound, and new mediums. McClain is the Founder and Executive Director of The West Harlem Art Fund, Inc. an eleven year old public art organization serving neighborhoods around the city. She has endeavored over the years to particularly bolster Harlem’s infrastructure to sustain tourism as well as improve its open, public spaces, firmly believing that the “arts” can provide economic support and financial benefits to local communities. McClain has curated numerous exhibitions including sculptural, digital, storefront & pop-up installations. She also developed the Hallelujah Public Art Fest; Harlem’s first cell phone tours and starting soon, will present public “live” installations and tours around the city.
